Here, we take a look at 10 of the best dog friendly beaches found within Cornwall, which you and your dog can enjoy.
Crantock Beach
Crantock holds a large expanse of golden sands backed by dunes to both the east and west. Crantock Beach is owned and maintained by the National Trust, with the car park free to National Trust members (join here).
Dogs: Dogs are welcome on this beach all year round.

Porthminster Beach
The beach here has glorious views across to Godrevy Lighthouse, and is a close enough for a short walk from the centre of St Ives.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome on this beach except between 15 May and 30 September (10am-6pm) when a seasonal dog ban is in place.

Porthcurno Beach
Located in the far west of Cornwall, Porthcurno Beach has won many awards. It consists of fine soft white sand and has high cliffs on both sides which provide shelter.

Kynance Cove
Located on the west side of the Lizard, you will find a steep walk down to the cove from the car park at the top of the cliff. From Kynance, you will find a great 2-mile walk around the coast to Lizard Point. Kynance Cove itself is owned and maintained by the National Trust, with the car park free to National Trust members (join here).

Perranporth Beach
With miles of golden sand, Perranporth Beach is considered by many to be one of Cornwall's best. It is easily accessible from the village and big enough to provide plenty of space to enjoy it.
Dogs: Dogs are welcome on this beach all year round, but must be kept on leads between July and August, 9am-5pm.

Lantic Bay
A mile to the east of Polruan near Fowey and follow the well-marked footpath cross the road and into a field. You will see the beach below and you will have to navigate a steep descent down to it. To access Lantic Bay, use the National Trust car park (free for members - join here).

Constantine Bay Beach
Holding a reputation as one of the best surfing beaches in Cornwall, Constantine Bay Beach offers a sweeping arc of soft sands. It is great to take a gentle stroll along, providing fantastic views of the bay. It is separated from its neighbour, Booby's Bay, to the north by a thin rocky point.

Sennen Cove Beach
The idyllic Sennen Cove Beach is a long and sandy beach and located a short walk over the cliffs from Land's End. When the tide is low, it is an incredibly scenic spot on the Cornish coastline.

Watergate Bay
Watergate Bay beach is located around 3-miles from Newquay on the North Cornwall coast. It contains a large stretch of sandy beach.

Pentewan Beach
Here you will find over half a mile of east-facing sandy beach. Just be aware of the time-limited factor for visiting with a dog, detailed below.
Dogs: Please note, dogs are only allowed on this beach between the first Sunday in November and 1 February - outside this time all dogs are banned from the beach, which is privately owned. The owners have the right to change this policy at any time, therefore please check directly for any changes.
