The Peak District National Park is located in the centre of England. Steep limestone valleys such as Dovedale, characterise the park's southern area, which is known as White Peak. The North area of the Peak District is known as Dark Peak, holding dramatic gritstone ridges and stark moorland plateaus such as Kinder Scout, the highest point in the National Park. The area holds a variety of excellent and varied dog walking opportunities, for you and your canine companion to enjoy.
Here, we take a look at six of our favourite short dog walks in the Peak District National Park, which you can enjoy yourselves.

A well-signposted walk close to Ladybower Reservoir in the Hope Valley. Just over 10-miles outside of Sheffield. This is a lovely dog walk around water and through some woodland.
What is great about the Peak District, being so central, is the accessibility it has to a large part of England. Whether you are in Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Nottingham or Derby - the Peak District is arguably just on your door-step, a short car ride away. It really is a great place to get outdoors and explore some wonderful scenery, to make some truly memorable walks with your dog.
