Aspley Wood is a large Bedfordshire woodland with a wide network of trails, making it a good option for longer walks or varied repeat visits. The setting includes conifer woodland, areas of older woodland and heathland on the Greensand Ridge, with plenty of natural paths to explore. It also links into longer routes in the area, including the Greensand Way.
This is a popular multi-use site, so you may meet mountain bikers and horse riders along the way. Paths are natural and can be uneven in places, with some slopes, and a few ponds are noted around the woods, so expect the potential for muddy paws. Dogs are currently noted as needing to stay on lead. No livestock is currently noted for this route, and there are no stiles currently noted.
There are no toilets or café currently noted on site. Nearby villages such as Aspley Guise and Woburn Sands may be useful if you want to combine the walk with other amenities.
