This is a simple canalside walk along the Grand Union Canal at Linslade, following the towpath through a flat waterside setting with plenty of historic inland waterway character. It suits a steady stroll rather than a challenging route, with the canal, passing narrowboats and long views along the water giving it an easy-going feel.
The towpath here forms part of a wider local walking network around Leighton-Linslade, with the canal corridor linking into nearby rights of way and woodland areas. Surfaces on canal paths are often firmer underfoot than field routes, but they can still become muddy or slippery in wet weather, so sensible footwear is worth having.
