Priory Country Park is a large waterside park on the edge of Bedford, with lakes, meadows and woodland giving plenty of variety for a dog walk. There are easy walking trails around the water and through the wider park, so it can suit anything from a shorter circuit to a longer wander.
For dog owners, off-lead walking is currently noted as generally permitted, but please follow local signs and keep dogs close where needed around other visitors and wildlife. No livestock is currently noted for this route, and there are no stiles currently noted. The park also has toilets and a café if you want to make more of a visit.
There is water within the park, which can be appealing to dogs, but blue-green algae can build up at times in summer. If any warning signs are in place, keep dogs out of the water.
