Walk
Start out at the Heatherdene car park. Walk away from where you entered in the car, and pass on by the toilet block. There is a route marking map at this point too, where you can get your bearings. The walk we describe here follows the black marked route.
Continue on the main path here until you reach some steps which lead down to the road. Cross over the A6013 road to reach the dam.
After crossing the dam, follow the black route marker to head up to the site of a quarry.
The path will then descend to the edge of the reservoir, returning back to the dam, where you can then follow the route back to the car park.
