Walk
1 From the car park take the path following signs for Nether Padley. The path crosses over another path before descending towards a post and rail fence. Pass through the gate into the woods with a rock face on your right. The path will level off, cutting across the hillside.
2 On reaching a fork, descend down the left path. On meeting another path, which crosses the path you are on, turn left. You will pass a small water works building on your right before crossing a stream. Continue on the path until you reach a stone wall. Pass through the gate onto the hillside pasture.Keeping straight and ignoring the path that veers to your left, pass through the gate back into woodland.
The path will cross two streams before you reach a stone wall. Pass through the gap and continue, the path will get a little boggy as you descend.
Ignore a path to your right and continue, the path may get a little overgrown and narrow in places. On meeting another path, turn left and cross a stream using stepping stones.
Cross yet another stream and ignore a path to your right. You will now begin to ascend passing a large boulder to your left. The path eventually leads out onto a quiet road.
3 Turn right and descend through Froggatt Village, passing Frog Hall on your right. Ignore a footpath on your left and continue, turning left onto Malthouse Lane. Follow the road round to the right, down the hill. At the end of the road turn left passing a road bridge on your right and continue onto Froggatt Lane.
4 The road will begin to ascend, keep an eye out for a footpath on your left just before the road bends to the right. Pass through the kissing gates and ascend the glade, beware that there is a busy road ahead. The path continues through a small block of woodland and a meadow. Pass through the gate at the end and cross over the road.
Take the footpath on the opposite side of the road entering into woodland once more ascending fairly steeply in places.
On meeting another path, turn right with the rock face to your left. The path will bring you out onto the rock face, know as Froggatt Edge.
5 On reaching the ridge top, turn left, following the worn path back along the ridge. The path will eventually re-enter the woodland, keep following this path over the main road to the car park.
