A circular dog friendly woodland walk at the Outwoods, in Loughborough. A chance to explore 110 acres of ancient woodland, with this walk taking a little over one-hour. Set to the south of Loughborough, the Outwoods is one of the oldest surviving woodland sites in Charnwood.
How to get there
From Loughborough, take Forest Road then Nanpantan Road. At Nanpantan, take a left onto Woodhouse Lane. A way down this road, you will see a brown road sign directing you to Outwoods Woodland Walk car park.
Walk
1 Leave the car park and follow the path from the back right hand side of the car park. Turn left on the path when reaching the field outside of the woodland and head on the path to point 2.
2 Turn right here, and take the path out from the woodland and onto a track, which should should follow a little while before turning right and head up to point 3.
3 Take a right around the fields edge and follow the path down through the fields, back toward and into the woodland, and to the walk start point and car park.
