Walk
Leave Manningtree train station exit and go down the ramp to the right. The footpath to follow begins at the end of the ramp. Turn right along a track, then turn right again to pass under a railway bridge. Follow the path until you reach the River Stour. Turn left along a path alongside the river.
Take a right here, and follow the path on the bank to the hamlet of Flatford.
Cross Flatford Bridge and continue heading north here to leave Flatford. Pass by the RSPB Flatford Wildlife Garden, then go up the steps on your left and follow the path to the car park. Turn left at the top of the car park and after 100m, take the footpath running parallel to the road. Turn left when you reach a public footpath sign directing you to Fen Bridge.
Shortly after you cross the bridge, turn left, follow the path, then left again. Follow this path alongside the River Stouruntil you join back up to Flatford Bridge. Now, simply follow the path back to Manningtree Station.
