The Walk

A walk through open fields and countryside.

Map with thanks to Ordnance Survey.

Walk

1 From the car park, head south west on the path. Pass on by the viewpoint, and continue on the path heading to the left. Cross over the road and follow the path as it turns left and crosses the golf course. Head on to Church Hill as the path then heads more to the right. Continue on the Hertfordshire Way to reach Thrift Farm.

2 Turn south-east to walk away from the farm. You will now head toward the village of Therfield, so continue heading in the south-east direction. Once you reach near the edge of the village, you will pass through Slipes Wood.

3 Turn left and then continue ahead at the crossroads and onto Mill Lane. The road will turn into a bridleway, then you will turn left at the fork then head across the countryside and on the track. Continue to head north and after a while you will descend steadily until you reach the car park and start point of the walk.
