Walk
Head out from the car park and follow the road through Dunster. Pass by Dunster Castle on your left. Cross the river on the Gallox Bridge. Take the left path through Dunster Deer Park.
Follow the path to reach Carhampton Gate, then turn right to head up Park Lane. You will reach Aller Hill.
Turn right through Withycombe Hill Gate and head on the path to Bat's Castle, an Iron Age hill fort. The path will run through the centre of the fort and downhill to Gallox Hill.
Follow the bridleway downhill towards Black Ball and Vinegar Hill. Then, join a forestry track leading down to the junction of paths just above Gallox Bridge. From here, follow your earlier route back through Dunster.
