A circular dog friendly walk to Hanging Hill, in Lansdown, which lies betweenn Bath and Bristol.
How to get there
Take the Lansdown Road, heading north out of Bath. Pass by Lansdown Golf Club on your left followed by two entrance roads leading to Bath Racecourse. You then want to take the next road on your left, which leads to a small parking area.
Walk
1 From the parking area, take the path heading southwards between the tree line and the fields.
2 Once you reach the end of the tree line, turn right. Follow the path straight on, as it crosses the golf course. Follow the Cotswold Way path up to reach point 3.
3 You will pass through a metal gate and reach an information board, referencing the Battle of Lansdown 1643. As you progress here, the sloping hill to your left is known as 'Hanging Hill'. Follow the path heading east, before turning right and progressing south back toward the car park.
