The Walk

A largely circular walk around a country park.

Walk

1 Start off from the amble car parking area located just off Ashton Road (B3128). Head on up toward the Ashton Court Mansion. At your first opportunity on the path take a left turn, so that you are heading away from the mansion (signposted Golf & Cycle Centre, Fallow Deer Park & Woodland Walks).

2 You will reach a fork in the path at point 2. If you take the right option, heading up the hill, you will head up and past some cottages to your left. Continue past these for a similar distance to reach another turn point.

3 Take the left route and head onward to point 4 on the map below, passing one option to turn left.

4 Upon reaching the fork in the road, bear left, follow this path down and it skirts close to the wooded area which will be on your right. The path will then head into the wooded area, and you will reach a point where you can take a sharp left turn.

5 Once you have turned left, head on from point 5, heading effectively back toward the start point. You will pass through more of the wooded area before eventually breaking out into the parkland, with Fallow Deer Park now on your left.

6 Continue on this path, and it will link back up to point 2 above. Bear right, walking away from Fallow Deer Park and back toward the mansion. Take a right turn onto the path when you have the option, and head back down toward the car park.
