Walk
1 From the car park above Low Newton, head down the hill to the village square. Once you reach the square take the right hand turn to head behind the square. Turn left behind the Ship Inn and follow the road south past the back of the cottages. Continue on the path past Risemoor Cottage, through a small woodland path until you reach two wildlife hides to your right.
2 Continue heading south from the bird hide, when after about 30 metres the path will reach a fork. Take the left track to pass by some beach bungalows in the dunes. Head for the centre of the green space to reach a waymarker pointing to the path through the bracken, leading to wood steps to the beach.
3 You will be able to view the spectacular Dunstanburgh Castle across Embleton Bay, before turning left on the beach to head back toward the village and village square.
