Walk

From the notice board in the Headley Heath National Trust car park, walk south along the back of the car park. Leave by the gate nearest to the road. Take the right fork in the path, passing by two ponds.

After you have passed the second pond, ignore the first three tracks on the right, but when you reach the first cross-road tracks, turn right. Continue as the path declines a little to the next junction, where you should turn left. When you reach the bottom of the dip in the path, take the left fork, then ignore any tracks which cross it.

The track will swing to the left and then drop before rising again. Take the right fork in the path, the follow the path as it rounds to the right. When the path starts to drop again, go through a gate on your left. Turn right onto the road.

Remain on the road passing the Surrey Outdoor Learning & Development Centre, until you reach some gates. Follow the track to the right and downhill, but not through the gates. In a short while, the track will fork. Take the right path through the gate and down the hill. When you reach the bottom of the hill, turn left when you reach the main track. Take a left onto the steps going up the hill. At the top, take the path which rounds to the right, followed by an immediate left downhill. Follow the path along the fenceline. The path will rise and fall, and in the second dip, take the left fork, remaining with the fenceline. Once you leave the fenceline, the track will rise and round to the right.

You will then reach a cross of the tracks, take the left where you will reach the gate off Headley Heath. Remain on the path, passing a cottage and a farmon your left before you reach a road. Cross over the road into Tumber Street, but take the path immediately on your right. Follow this through the woods. When you reach the other end, turn right and shortly after take a left up a public footpath.

Remain on this path to emerge opposite a pub. Head up the lane to the church, and take the path through the church yard. Turn right at the rear. Follow the path straight on along a few lanes and fields. You will then reach a T-junction where you should turn right before reaching a road. Turn left then take the right fork in the path. You will reach the road to the Headley Cricket Club Ground. Follow this road, take a right and you will be heading back toward the car park.
