Walk
1 From the car park at Flamborough Lighthouse, facing the Lighthouse, turn right. Head toward the fog horn station. You will keep the coast on your left throughout the initial section of this walk, with fields to your right. Head toward the coastline, and then southwards keeping to the path.
2 Once you reach a small, wooden footbridge, turn right with a signpost signalling Lighthouse Road (¾ mile). Begin to head inland along the edge of a field, you will keep the hedge line to your right at this point.
3 Once you reach the end of the field, climb some wooden steps where you will reach Lighthouse Road. If you then cross over the road and head back using the roadside path. You will pass by Old Flamborough Lighthouse, which was built in 1669, and is the oldest surviving complete lighthouse in England. This is at the edge of Flamborough Head Golf Club, which if you keep this to your left and continue onward heading toward the New Flamborough Lighthouse (built in 1806), and back to the original start point.
