The Barton Hills Nature Reserve is in the heart of the Chilterns. The valleys and hills that make up this beautiful nature reserve make it well worth a visit. This 2-mile route is located near Barton-le-Clay.

How to get there

Barton Hills is immediately south of the B655 between the town of Barton-le-Clay and the village of Hexton.

Walk

1 From the walk start point, head southward to emerge along the edge of a field to your left. Take a right, when you can, to head into the woodland and follow the path round to the left. Head south on this path continuing down through the woodland.

2 Turn left here, and head straight on the path.

3 Take a left here and follow the path. Where the path forks, take the left path.

4 Turn left here and head back to the walk start point.
