A circular walk on the beautiful sandy beach at Aberffraw. You will experience views across to the Snowdonia mountain range.

 

How to get there

Leave the A55 at Junction 5, signposted to Aberffraw and Rhosneigr on the A4080. Follow signs to Aberffraw. Remain on the A4080 leaving Aberffraw and just after you will head over a road bridge. Take the first right turn and there will be a layby to park in.

 

Walk

1 From the end of the layby, continue for a short distance on the road, then take the footpath on your right marked Isle of Anglesey Coast Path (IACP). Walk along the shore with the sand dunes on your left.

2 Take a left to follow the edge of the sand dunes and on through the beach, Aberffraw Sands. Contnue to the end of the sand dunes to reach some rocks.

3 Turn left to cross the sand and reach a path which heads over the sand dunes. Continue to head straight ahead on the path.

4 Head left onto the lane and remain on this lane until you reach back to the layby at the walk start point.
