A circular walk starting from the Mynachdy National Trust car park. The walk takes you to the beautiful rocky cove of Ynys y Fydlyn where you can enjoy the spectacular views, before heading up and onto the headland.
How to get there
Leave the A55 at Junction 3. Follow the signposted signs to Valley on the A5. When you reach Valley, turn right at the traffic lights. Pass through Llanfaethlu and turn left to head toward Church Bay. Turn right after the Church Bay Inn, then left at the end of the road. You will reach the car park on your left.
Walk
1 From the car park, head through the kissing gate and onto the track. Head out and along the grassland toward point 2 on the map, which is the bay where you and your dog can spend a bit of time relaxing and enjoying the environment.
2 Just before reaching the bay, take the path to your left. Head up the hill and head on up until reaching the track at point 3.
3 Turn left on the track and follow it as it bends to the right. Follow the path now to head back toward the car park and walk start point.
