Terrain:

The terrain in Hughenden Park and Manor estate, Buckinghamshire, is varied and often hilly. Paths within the formal gardens and some main parkland routes are generally well-surfaced (gravel or compacted earth) and accessible for many. Woodland and wider estate paths can be earth, very uneven, muddy after rain, and involve significant steep ascents and descents, particularly in the Chilterns beech woods. Sturdy footwear with good grip is essential for exploring the full estate. This Buckinghamshire walk has challenging sections.
