Terrain: A wonderfully varied and often undulating walk through a beautiful river valley. Paths are a mix of well-maintained gravel tracks around the Mill, and more natural earth paths through woodlands and alongside the river. The valley features numerous slopes, some of which can be moderate to steep. Expect paths to be very muddy and prone to puddles, particularly after rain or in wetter seasons, especially in wooded areas and closer to the river. Sturdy, comfortable, and waterproof walking boots with good grip are highly recommended for both you and your dog.
Accessibility: While some paths immediately around Willsbridge Mill are wide and relatively flat, many trails within the Willsbridge Valley (especially those leading up the valley sides or further into the woods) are uneven, with steep gradients, steps, and potential for deep mud. This makes them less suitable for those with significant mobility issues or standard pushchairs for a full exploration.- Facilities:

Dog-Friendliness: Willsbridge Mill and Valley offers a fantastic and very popular destination for dog walkers, blending fascinating history with stunning natural beauty! Dogs are welcome throughout much of the site, with ample opportunity for both on-lead strolling and responsible off-lead play. However, it is crucial to be highly mindful of the site's popularity, other visitors (including families and children), specific dog control zones, and sensitive wildlife around the river and mill ponds. Always ensure your dog is under control.
Willsbridge Mill in Avon (South Gloucestershire) is a very popular and well-loved place for dog walking. The woodland paths and riverside trails offer excellent exploration and exercise for dogs. Dogs can often be off-lead in many woodland areas, but ensure they are kept under good control, especially near the Siston Brook (be cautious if your dog swims, as water levels can vary), the mill buildings/cafe area (where leads are usually requested), and when other walkers, families, or children are present. Please clean up after your dog; bins are usually provided near the car park or mill. This Avon/South Gloucestershire spot is a dog walker's favourite.- EV Charger Nearby:
