Walk Highlights
- Location:
- Blackpool
- Postcode:

- Parking:
Parking: There are several large, free car parks available around Stanley Park, particularly off West Park Drive. These car parks can get very busy, especially on weekends, sunny days, and during events. Marton Mere LNR may also have a smaller, separate car park (e.g., off Common Edge Road), so you can choose your starting point depending on your focus.
- Distance:
- 4.50 miles
- Time:
- 1.40 hours
- Difficulty:
- Moderate
- Terrain:
Terrain: A wonderfully varied walk, transitioning from the well-maintained, largely paved (tarmac) paths and mown grassy areas of Stanley Park to the more natural, unpaved (earth/gravel/boardwalks) trails of Marton Mere Local Nature Reserve. Stanley Park is generally flat. Marton Mere is also largely flat, but paths can be very muddy and prone to puddles, especially after rain or in wetter seasons, due to its wetland nature. Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes are recommended, and waterproof footwear is essential for Marton Mere.
Accessibility: Stanley Park offers excellent accessibility, with wide, flat, paved paths suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs, and less mobile walkers throughout its main areas. The paths at Marton Mere are less consistently accessible; while generally flat, they can be uneven, very muddy, and some may be narrower, making full accessibility challenging.- Facilities:
