The terrain for the Red Trail in Ebbor Gorge, Somerset, is very challenging and strenuous. Expect extremely steep, rocky, and uneven paths with loose stones and tree roots. Sections involve scrambling over rocks and navigating narrow ledges. Paths can be very slippery when wet. Strong, sturdy walking boots with excellent ankle support and grip are absolutely essential. This Somerset trail is not suitable for young children or those with mobility issues or a fear of heights.
