The Walk

A circular walk through forest, with lots of opportunity for shade.

Map with thanks to Ordnance Survey.

Walk

1 Head south from the carpark. The path descends gently before crossing the road. Cross the road, and follow the wide track, it will ascend steeply at first, as it heads around the hill. Follow this path, it will begin to descend and another similar track cuts across.

2 Follow this new path as it begins to ascend again and heads north to point 3.

3 As you approach point three, another track will join forming a sharp U-turn. Follow this track as it descends back towards the carpark and visitor centre.

4 Descend down to the left and follow the well defined footpath off the road back into the trees. After a short while you will cross back over the road, as you retrace your steps back to the visitor centre.
