- Dog Notes:
Knettishall Heath in Suffolk is a very popular place for dog walking, offering extensive areas for dogs to explore. However, due to the presence of free-roaming Exmoor ponies and other grazing livestock (used for conservation), and the sensitive wildlife (ground-nesting birds like nightjars and woodlarks, adders), dogs MUST be kept under very close control at all times, and on leads in many signed areas, especially between March and September (bird breeding and reptile activity season). Be very aware of adders in warmer months and keep dogs out of dense heather. Please clean up after your dog. The River Little Ouse offers paddling for dogs, but check access and safety. This Suffolk park requires responsible dog ownership.
