The largest park in Sheffield, Graves Park is a brilliant mix of open parkland, natural and semi-natural woodlands. This is a great walk for all the family, taking in the animal farm, lakes, wooded areas. Graves Park also includes a lovely café, the Rose Garden Café, which welcomes dog walkers and families with both outdoor and indoor seating that’s perfect for having a quick stop off at.
How to get there
From Sheffield City Centre (and the north) follow the A61 towards Chesterfield. At the traffic lights just after Homebase, turn left onto Scarsdale Road. Follow Scarsdale Road into Derbyshire Lane and continue for about three quarters of a mile. The park will now be on your right. Continue along Hemsworth Road until you reach some traffic lights. The entrance to the park is on the right just before Bunting Nook.
Walk
1 The route starts from the main car park, and follows clockwise through woodland and parkland, offering some amazing views out towards the Peak District.
