- Terrain:
Terrain: A vast and wonderfully varied forest landscape, predominantly pine forest but with areas of mixed woodland and open heathland. Paths form an extensive network, ranging from wide, well-maintained compacted gravel tracksto narrower, sandy, or earthy woodland trails. The terrain is gently to moderately undulating, with some longer, gradual climbs and descents. Expect paths to be sandy and dry in summer but can become very muddy and prone to puddles in low-lying areas or after rain. Sturdy, comfortable, and waterproof walking shoes or boots are highly recommended for both you and your dog.
Accessibility: Some sections of Swinley Forest's trails are designed to be accessible, featuring wider, firmer surfaces suitable for robust pushchairs and some wheelchairs. However, the majority of the forest's extensive path network consists of natural, uneven, sandy, or muddy trails with gradients, making full accessibility challenging.- Facilities:
