Huelgoat Forest is a distinctive woodland walk in Brittany, on the edge of the town of Huelgoat within the Armorique Regional Natural Park. The setting is known for its mossy granite boulders, wooded paths and the Rivière d’Argent running through the forest, giving this area a dramatic and characterful feel for a dog walk.
One of the best-known features here is the Roche Tremblante, a remarkable rocking boulder and a popular natural landmark within the forest. As well as the boulder itself, this area is known for its striking granite chaos formations, so there is plenty to look out for as you explore.
Paths here are likely to feel natural and uneven in places, with roots, rocks and muddier sections possible after wet weather. No livestock is currently noted for this route. Please follow local signs and keep dogs close where needed. A pub is noted nearby if you want to combine the walk with a stop afterwards.
