- Dog Notes:
-
Charlestown & Beaches: Dogs are allowed around the harbour on a lead. Note that the main Charlestown beach and Carlyon Bay beach often have seasonal dog bans (usually Easter/April to October), but the coast path itself is open to dogs all year.
-
The Coast Path: It is highly recommended to keep your dog on a lead along the coastal section due to the cliff drops.
-
Woodland Return: The inland return through Crinnis Wood and Cuddra Plantation offers a great, shaded environment with plenty of sniffing opportunities where well-behaved dogs might be able to stretch their legs off-lead.
-
Pubs & Cafes: Charlestown is exceptionally dog-friendly, with many pubs (like The Rashleigh Arms or The Pier House) and cafes welcoming muddy paws and boots after a walk.
