This walk features a real mix of terrain. The woodland paths near the river and through Danescombe can be uneven, rooty, and very muddy/slippery after wet weather or in the winter months. The middle section utilizes paved country lanes and farm tracks. The climb up to Metherell and the drop into Danescombe will get your heart rate up. Sturdy walking boots are highly recommended.
