Expect a classic "Cornish flat" walk—meaning plenty of steep, lung-busting ascents and descents! While the paths are well-maintained, the route consists of rugged woodland trails, grassy field margins, and paved village lanes. The wooded sections hugging the creek, particularly around Pont Pill, can become very muddy and slippery after wet weather. Sturdy walking boots are highly recommended year-round to comfortably tackle the uneven terrain and steep gradients.
