A varied and often rugged coastal route. The outward leg along the South West Coast Path is rocky, uneven, and includes several steep ascents and descents over exposed cliff-top terrain. The inland return follows grassy field edges, farm tracks, and dirt paths which can become muddy and slippery after rain. Expect uneven footing throughout, with some stiles on the return section.
