Terrain: A truly invigorating and Challenging forest and hillside hike. Paths are a mix of trails through woodlandand rough, rocky natural paths once out on the open hillside. The terrain is hilly and uneven, demanding good footing. Expect sections to be muddy and potentially boggy, particularly in forested dips or after rain. The hillside features rocky outcrops flanked with heather and bracken. Sturdy, comfortable, and waterproof hiking boots with excellent grip are absolutely essential for both you and your dog, as the rough terrain is what creates the challenge.

Accessibility: Due to the strenuous nature, steep sections, and rough, uneven terrain with rocky outcrops, this walk is not suitable for those with mobility issues or pushchairs. It requires a good level of fitness and sure-footedness.
