A linear dog friendly walk to Blackstone Edge. Blackstone Edge is a gritstone escarpment 472 metres above sea level, in the Pennine hills, situated on the boundary between Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire.

Useful Information
How to get there: Leave the M62 at Junction 21 and follow signs to Milnrow. Pass on by Hollingworth Lake and out of the village of Littleborough on the A58. The car park for the walk will be on your left, near Blackstone Edge reservoir.

The Walk
A linear walk to Blackstone Edge.

Walk
1 From the car park, head right a short while before carefully crossing over the road. Follow the path, the Pennine Way. Remain on the path until you reach a cobbled path by a bridge and gate.
2 Turn left, cross the bridge and follow the cobbled path.
3 Turn right, head through the gate and head along the path to reach the summit of Blackstone Edge. At this point, turn around to follow back on the path.
