Terrain: A delightful and largely flat walk, predominantly following a well-maintained, gravel and compacted earth path that runs alongside the Beaulieu River. Expect some sections to be exposed, and others to be shaded by woodland. Can be muddy and prone to puddles in parts after heavy rain, particularly closer to the river's edge or in wooded sections. Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes or boots are recommended.
Accessibility: The path is generally wide and flat, making it fairly accessible for most users, including those with pushchairs. However, some sections may have uneven surfaces or occasional muddy patches, which might be challenging for standard wheelchairs in all conditions.

Dog-Friendliness: This is a wonderfully scenic and very dog-friendly walk, offering a unique blend of riverside beauty and maritime history! Dogs are welcome on the public footpath between Beaulieu and Buckler's Hard. Dogs should be kept on a lead in Beaulieu village, at Buckler's Hard village, and whenever near sensitive wildlife or other visitors. Well-behaved dogs with excellent recall can enjoy some off-lead time in quieter, open woodland sections away from the river, but vigilance is key due to wildlife and shared paths.
