Paths are a mix of mown grass tracks across the common, natural earth paths alongside the river and through fields, and some quiet country lanes. Expect paths, particularly across the common and by the river, to be muddy and prone to puddles, especially after rain or during wetter seasons. Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes are recommended, and waterproof footwear is advisable.
