- Dog Notes:
Deacon Hill and the Pegsdon Hills in Bedfordshire offer excellent exercise for energetic dogs. However, due to the frequent presence of grazing livestock (often sheep or cattle for conservation management of the chalk grassland) and sensitive wildlife (ground-nesting birds, rare plants, butterflies), dogs MUST be kept on leads or under very close and reliable control at all times, especially during bird nesting season (spring/summer). Be mindful of steep slopes. Please clean up after your dog meticulously to protect this fragile SSSI habitat in Bedfordshire. Bring water for your dog.
