Terrain: A beautiful and invigorating woodland walk situated on a prominent hill overlooking Weston-super-Mare. Paths are primarily natural earth and leaf litter, with some compacted tracks and occasional rocky sections. The terrain is undulating and quite hilly, with numerous moderate to steep climbs and descents throughout the woods. Expect paths to be very muddy and prone to puddles, especially after rain or in wetter seasons. Sturdy, comfortable, and waterproof hiking boots with good grip are essential for both you and your dog.
Accessibility: Due to the significant slopes, uneven natural paths, and potential for deep mud, Weston Woods is generally not suitable for those with significant mobility issues or standard pushchairs for most routes. It requires a good level of fitness.- Get Directions:

Dog-Friendliness: Weston Woods offers a fantastic and very dog-friendly walk, blending peaceful woodlands with rewarding coastal views! Dogs are welcome throughout much of the woods, providing ample opportunity for both on-lead strolling and responsible off-lead exploration. However, it is crucial to be highly mindful of other visitors, occasional cyclists (on shared paths), and sensitive wildlife. Always ensure your dog is under control and has excellent recall.
Weston Woods in Somerset is an excellent and very popular place for dog walking, with plenty of space and interesting scents for dogs to explore. Dogs can often be off-lead in many areas, but ensure they have good recall and are kept under control, as wildlife (including deer) is present, paths can be steep and near edges in places, and other walkers, cyclists, or horse riders may use some of the tracks. Please clean up after your dog to keep this Somerset woodland pleasant for everyone. Bring water for your dog, especially on longer walks.- EV Charger Nearby:
