- Leads: Talacre Beach is exceptionally dog-friendly and is a paradise for dogs that love to run and play on the sand and paddle in the sea. There are vast areas for off-lead fun year-round with no formal restrictions on the main beach. However, always ensure your dog is under control, especially if the beach is busy with families or near the lighthouse where people congregate.
- Water: The sea for paddling and swimming! Carry fresh water for drinking, especially on warm days, as the sandy expanse offers little shade.
- Wildlife: The dunes are a protected SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) and home to important wildlife, including natterjack toads and various bird species. Prevent dogs from disturbing the dune habitats or chasing wildlife. The nearby Dee Estuary is also vital for birds.
