Parking: There is a dedicated, free car park available at Twywell Hills and Dales. It's a reasonably sized car park but can get busy, especially on weekends and sunny days. Arriving earlier or later in the day is recommended.

Distance:
2.90 miles
Time:
1.10 hours
Difficulty:
Moderate
Terrain:

Terrain: A truly unique and invigorating walk through a landscape transformed from former ironstone quarries. Paths are a mix of mown grassy tracks, natural earth paths, and some compacted gravel sections. The terrain is undulating, with numerous gentle slopes and dips (total ascent 55m / 180ft), giving it its "hills and dales" character. Expect paths to be muddy and prone to puddles in places, particularly in wooded hollows or after rain. Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes are recommended, and waterproof footwear is advisable.

Accessibility: Due to the undulating terrain (the "hills and dales"), uneven natural paths, and potential for mud, this walk is generally not suitable for those with significant mobility issues or standard pushchairs. It requires a reasonable level of fitness.
