Walk
From the car park, follow the grassed path along the verge, heading south until you reach the road junction.
Turn left at the junction, then through the gate next to the cattle grid. Pass through the kissing gate. Follow the path along the right hand side of the road and remain on it as it raises up away from the road, to the right.
Continue on the path, reaching the gate at the top of the path. Pass through the gate, following a post pointing to "Shining Tor", then proceed ahead on the track up the hillside, with a wall to your right.
When you reach the top of the first rise on the ridge, Cats Tor summit will be in view. Follow the path up to the summit, where a line of flagstones will signify your reaching the top of Cats Tor. Once you have spent some time enjoying the spectacular views here, turn around and follow back along the route you ascended.
