Winster is a historic limestone village in the Peak District, with a walk setting that combines quiet village streets and narrow ginnels with surrounding footpaths and views across the Derbyshire Dales. The village has a strong old-world character, with traditional stone buildings and the Market House at its centre.
This is a good option if you enjoy a shorter wander through the village before heading out towards the White Peak’s rolling limestone landscape. Expect a mix of built-up sections and countryside paths, with some uphill and downhill stretches possible around the village edges.
