Allean Forest is a short, easy woodland walk in Highland Perthshire, with waymarked trails through a mix of forest and more open viewpoints above Loch Tummel. It offers a quieter feel than some of the busier nearby beauty spots, with a route of around 2 miles that suits a relaxed outing with the dog.
Along the way, there are views across Loch Tummel and the surrounding hills, plus historic features including the remains of an old farming settlement and an ancient fort site. Forest tracks can be uneven in places, so take care underfoot.
