Circular walk
Culzean Castle sits on top of a cliff surrounded by 297 acres of managed woodland and 17 miles of beautiful paths. There is a five-mile route from the Ayrshire Coastal Path in Maidens that goes to Culzean Castle’s country park over rocky clifftops and through woodland, with views of the castle.

The Walk
A walk to Culzean Castle Country Park.

Walk
1 Set off from the beach car park toward the north end of the village of Maidens. Head north following the path to point 2.
2 Turn left here and follow the path, reaching Swan Pond. Continue on the path, keeping the cliffs to your left.
3 Enter the grounds of Culzean Castle. After passing by the property, turn right to head down past the car park and back up the other side of it. Turn right to head across the grass and then follow the path back down through the trees.
4 Take a right here and walk down, following the path as it turns right, then left. Continue on back to join up near the beach and start point of the walk.
