The Walk

A circular walk which encompasses a lake and mountains.

Map with thanks to Ordnance Survey.

Walk

1 From the car park, walk towards the toilets and then take the path which goes to the left of the building. Head through the gate and cross over a footbridge. Follow on the path down toward the lake.

2 When you reach the lake, head across the footbridge to your rightand through the gate. Walk on the path with the lake kept to your left. When you reach a stone wall, head through the gate. Walk straight ahead on the path. Here, you will be walking toward the dark, black crack which splits the rock of Clogwyn y Geifr between Y Garn and Glyder Fawr - Devil's Kitchen is the name given to this. In a short while, you will see a path which heads to your left just before you see the end of the lake.

3 Take the path to your left and continue on the path until you reach the end of the lake. Follow the path uphill and turn left. Remain on the path and pass through a gate. Take a right to head back along the way you came, back to the car park.
