Terrain:

Terrain: A wonderfully varied and generally flat to gently undulating landscape, transformed from a former opencast coal mine. Paths are a mix of wide, well-maintained compacted gravel tracks, natural earth paths through woodlands, and mown grassy routes through meadows and wetlands. Expect paths to be muddy and prone to puddles, particularly after rain or in wetter seasons, especially in wetland areas or less-frequented woodland trails. Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes are recommended, and waterproof footwear is advisable.

Accessibility: The main paths around the Welsh Wildlife Centre and some key loops within Parc Slip are wide, flat, and well-surfaced (gravel), offering good accessibility for pushchairs and some wheelchairs. However, many of the narrower or more natural earth paths can be uneven, and very muddy, making full accessibility challenging for the entire route.

Toilets, Cafe
