Walk
1. From the car park, head south, along the way you drove in. Turn onto Washdale Lane, and keep to the right on the road with your dog on a lead, in case of traffic.
2. You will reach the stream which runs through the road. From here, cross over the footbridge and turn right into the woods. Continue on the path which runs alongside the stream.
3. If you continue to follow this path beside the water until you reach another footbridge, where you should cross the stream. Follow on the path to a set of steps. Follow the ridge path up the hill to reach the highest viewpoint of Downs Banks.
4. The Millennium Monument marks the viewpoint. This rock pillar identifies the landmarks which can be seen in the distance. Once you pass by the Monument, you will reach a fence, turn right and follow the path through a gate. Once you are through the gate, continue straight on, heading back into the woodland. Continue down the steps before heading back to the walk start point.
