- Terrain:
Terrain: A wonderfully varied and often invigorating landscape. Expect a mix of wide, well-maintained gravel tracks, mown grassy paths across open pasture, and some narrower woodland trails. The park is characterized by its rolling hills, with significant and sometimes steep inclines and declines as you climb to the various viewpoints. Paths can become very muddy and prone to puddles, particularly after rain or in wetter seasons. Sturdy, comfortable, and waterproof walking boots with good grip are highly recommended for both you and your dog.
Accessibility: The site is very hilly. The main paths around the visitor centre, picnic area, and play area are on rolled stone and grass, and are generally accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs. The shorter 'Skylark Trail' (0.5 miles) has some steep sections and is unsurfaced (grass), but may be suitable for robust pushchairs and smaller mobility scooters. The longer 'Rabbit Trail' (3 miles) has steep sections, large kissing gates, and some steps, making it not suitable for wheelchairs, mobility scooters, or pushchairs.- Facilities:
- Toilets, Cafe, Pub Nearby, - A cafe and toilets are available at the visitor centre. Due to the steep grassy slopes, the main routes are not wheelchair accessible.
