Walk
On this walk, you will want to follow the yellow waymarkers. From the car park, turn right onto the exit road. Follow the road until you reach a wooded area with a metal gate to your right. Go through this gate, and follow the path through the woodland.
Turn right onto the path and go down the hill, through the woods. When you reach the bottom of the hill, go through both of the gates and pick up the river path. Keep to the right and continue along the river bank.
Here, the River Nidd joins the River Ouse. Take the path round to the right. Pass on by the Victorian Water Tower, and continue along the path. When the path splits, take the right-hand path, heading toward Newton village.
Before reaching the village, you will find a small gate on your right-hand side. Cross over the entrance driveway to Newton Lodge, and into the woodland opposite. Follow the path through the woods.
Keep to the right, take the path along the edge of the fields. You will pass by a small pond to your left, then a picnic area. Go through the gate onto the path. This goes up to a gate and you can head on back to the car park.
