Cod Beck Reservoir and the surrounding woodlands/moorland in Cleveland/North Yorkshire are very popular for dog walking, offering a great environment for dogs to explore. Dogs are welcome on the paths. Around the reservoir itself, dogs must be kept on a lead and are not allowed to enter the water (to avoid disturbing wildlife). On the open moorland, be extremely mindful of grazing sheep (dogs MUST be on leads or under very close control) and ground-nesting birds (especially March-July, keep dogs to paths). Please clean up after your dog. The reservoir water is deep and cold. This Cleveland/North Yorkshire location is a favourite for dog walkers.
